APPLICATION OF NUT TAPS
Tapping nut taps are used for tapping nuts and nut products. Such a tap has a longer shank and a leading (calibrating) cutting part.
These nut taps are used for threading stainless steel nuts on automatic thread rolling machines.
Special chip flute design provides better chip evacuation when threading steel nuts.
These nut taps are available in metric, american and imperial threads.
Total length from 55 to 165 mm with thread length from 12 to 95 mm.
The standard thread length is 30 threads.
Round shank.
It is possible to design and manufacture nut taps according to customer requirements.
Tool Material Type:Vanadium-containing High-Speed Steel (HSSE)
Multilayer Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN) coating achieves longer tool life.
During operation, the tap is not unscrewed from the nut, but the finished nuts are strung on an elongated shank, which has 2 versions: straight shank and bent shank. A bent shank tap is used on automatic threading machines. In this case, under the pressure of each other, the nuts move to the end of the shank, where they fall into the container.

Product Description

These taps are used for production nuts.The length of thread and long shank are used to accumulate the nuts, there by increasing efficiency.
 

Two difference kinds of nut tap are offered for nuts in difference material:

  EX-HS series: It's for nuts in carbon steel material with Tin surface treatment, it works effectively on processing low carbon steel nuts.

H Type Nib High Speed Steel Nut Taps Used by Welding Bent Shank or Straight Shank

HY-PRO series: It possess better resistance and toughness by TiCN coating and high speed tool steel materials. It shows better tool life and higher cutting performance on processing hardened steel or alloy steel materials.

 H TYPE NIB TAP SNT(Short nut tap)

It's used by welding bent shank or straight shank in user. Customer could connect the short nuts taps with bent shanks on their own. It's easy to replace the old taps with new ones. It's widely used in fasteners and processing industries.

 AH COUPLER TYPE TAP NBT(Nib tap)

It's connected AH NIB with AH shank by AH coupler. If overload is given to AH tap, AH coupler will break itself and keep AH NIB and AH shank free from breakage. It can be used for different tapping machines by replacement of shank. Tapped nuts are automatically feed through shank and taps provide continuous production.

This type of taps could be connected with bent shanks by couplers, which would substantially shorten the adjusting time. Connecting taps with bent shanks by couplers could also lower the possibility of tap breakage caused by the strong torque.

NUT TAP

Through Hole
Nut taps are mainly used for tapping processing of nuts. The processing characteristics, accuracy and life requirements of the nut are individually designed and manufactured.

General nut tap
It is suitable for nuts of carbon steel (black iron) and other materials. The surface is treated with TiN. It can be effectively used for the processing of low- and medium-carbon steel nuts formed between cold and hot.

Screw taps for stainless steel
The surface black titanium treatment has a more significant life and high cutting performance for processing stainless steel, quenched and tempered steel or other difficult-to-machine alloy steel nuts.

SNT (NUT TAP)
Customer could connect the short nuts taps with bent shanks on their own. It's easy to replace the old taps with new ones.

SNB ( Nib tap )
This type of taps could be connected with bent shanks by couplers, which would substantially shorten the adjusting time. Connecting taps with bent shanks by couplers could also lower the possibility of tap breakage caused by the strong torque.

ดอกต๊าปมีหลายประเภท แต่ละประเภทจะเหมาะกับการใช้งานและวัสดุที่แตกต่างกันไป การเข้าใจดอกต๊าปแต่ละประเภท จะทำให้สามารถเลือกใช้ได้อย่างเหมาะสม ได้ขนาดรูเกลียวที่ได้มาตรฐาน ใช้เวลาในการทำงานสั้น ได้ต้นทุนในการทำเกลียวต่ำที่สุด และดอกต๊าปมีอายุการใช้งานยาวนาน

ดอกต๊าปที่ใช้งานกันอยู่ทั่วไปในปัจจุบัน สามารถแบ่งได้ 5 ประเภท ดังนี้

ดอกต๊าปร่องตรง สามารถทำได้ทั้งเกลียวแบบรูตันและแบบรูทะลุ เหมาะกับวัสดุชิ้นงานเหล็กหล่อหรือวัสดุที่มีเศษสั้น แต่มีข้อจำกัดคือ กรณีทำเกลียวแบบรูตัน เศษจากการตัดจะอยู่ภายในรูเกลียวไม่สามารถระบายออกสู่ภายนอกได้ ในระหว่างการตัดเกลียวจึงต้องคอยเป่าไล่เศษวัสดุออกภายนอก มิฉะนั้นดอกต๊าปอาจจะหักคาติดอยู่กับชิ้นงานในขณะทำเกลียวได้

2. ดอกต๊าปร่องเลื้อย (Spiral Tap)

ดอกต๊าปร่องเลื้อย เหมาะสำหรับการทำเกลียวแบบรูตัน เนื่องจากมีร่องเลื้อยทำหน้าที่ในการระบายเศษ โดยในขณะทำเกลียวเศษของวัสดุจะถูกดันกลับออกมาตามร่องและย้อนขึ้นมาทางปากรู ดอกต๊าปชนิดนี้เหมาะสำหรับการใช้งานกับวัสดุกลุ่มเหล็กเหนียวหรือวัสดุที่มีเศษยาว

ดอกต๊าปปลายร่องเฉียง เหมาะกับการทำเกลียวแบบรูทะลุหรืองานที่ต้องการความเร็วในการต๊าปสูงๆ จะมีลักษณะคล้ายกับดอกต๊าปแบบร่องตรง แต่มีความพิเศษตรงที่บริเวณปลายของดอกจะมีร่องที่ช่วยในการดันเศษวัสดุไปด้านหน้าและไหลออกสู่ภายนอกที่ด้านล่างของรูเจาะ ทำให้เศษไม่ติดอยู่ในรูที่ทำการต๊าป

4. ดอกต๊าปมือ (Hand Tap)

ดอกต๊าปมือ เป็นดอกต๊าปพื้นฐานที่นิยมใช้งานกัน สำหรับการทำเกลียวแบบ Manual หรือการต๊าปเกลียวด้วยมือ ดอกต๊าปชนิดนี้จะมี 3 ดอก โดยมีการทำงานดังนี้

  1. ดอกแรกตัวเรียว (Taper Tap) เป็นตัวทำเกลียวตัวแรก โดยส่วนปลายเกลียวจะมีความเรียว (Chamfer length) อยู่ประมาณ 6-7 ฟัน ก่อนที่ฟันเกลียวจะเต็มรูปร่าง
  2. ดอกตาม (Plug Tap) เป็นดอกต๊าปตัวที่สอง เพื่อสร้างเกลียวให้มีขนาดที่ใกล้เคียงกับที่ต้องการ ดอกตามตัวนี้สามารถใช้แทนเกลียวดอกแรกได้เลยหากวัสดุที่ต้องการทำเกลียวนั้นไม่แข็งมากเกินไป ปลายเกลียวมีความเรียว (Chamfer length) อยู่ที่ 3-4 ฟัน 
  3. ดอกสุดท้าย (Bottoming Tap) ดอกต๊าปเกลียวตัวนี้ส่วนของเกลียวแทบจะไม่มีส่วนที่เรียวเลย จึงใช้เป็นตัวสุดท้ายเพื่อทำเกลียวให้สมบูรณ์

5. ดอกต๊าปรีดเกลียว (Forming Tap)

ดอกต๊าปรีดเกลียว จะสร้างเกลียวด้วยการรีดหรืออัดขึ้นรูปวัสดุภายในรู ซึ่งจะแตกต่างจากดอกต๊าปชนิดอื่นๆที่ขึ้นรูปด้วยการตัดเฉือน ทำให้การทำเกลียวด้วยดอกต๊าปนี้ไม่มีเศษเกิดขึ้นเลย เนื่องจากเศษถูกอัดเข้าไปในเนื้อเกลียว นอกจากข้อดีในเรื่องที่ไม่มีเศษแล้ว ยังทำให้เกลียวมีความแข็งแรงขึ้นอีกด้วย ดอกต๊าปรีดเกลียวเหมาะกับการทำเกลียวในวัสดุประเภทที่ไม่แข็งมาก เช่น เหล็กคาร์บอนต่ำ หรืออลูมิเนียม

Bent Shank Taps:Allows tapped nuts to automatically pass through bent shank portion, enabling continuous tapping without reversal or stopping of the machine.

Guide Piece: Guide piece can prevent angled nuts from tapping.

Tap nib and bent shank are connected mechanically by the coupler. If AH tap overloads, the coupler will break free to prevent damage to the tap nib and bent shank.
